While we were moving in January I experienced heav

While we were moving in January I experienced heavy waves of anxiety and depression. The move resurfaced a lot of trauma surrounding past moves and was exhausting to wrestle with. I coped, in part, by drawing various dysmorphic moments I experienced. These exercises in creating self portraits helped ground me and bring me back to the present. As I drew I found my dysmorphia lessening and my ability to be more in the present increasing.

It will be interesting to see where these go in the future.

When I picked up my rabbit pieces I also picked up

When I picked up my rabbit pieces I also picked up this sculptural piece by @pageturnerstudios and @zephrenturner. Page suggested I unpack it and let it bless my home for a bit. This room is a meditative, quiet room that we spend more time in than I initially thought we would. I'm excited to have it be a guest in my home and have it live here for a little bit. (And let's be honest It's probably going to be moved down to my studio when I go work and put back up here when I'm done.)

Already I had enjoyed spending time studying it, finding new pieces, and having my eye catch it every time I walk past that room.
